GENERAL:
The mission of the GLSHCF is to Enhance the Health and
Well-Being of the Community. The Foundation will manage the funds
entrusted to it to ensure perpetuity of the funds and achieve the
mission of the Foundation. |

TYPES OF GRANTS:
Priority will be given to those proposals most consistent
with the Foundation mission and with the widest potential benefit to the
community. This may include projects in the areas of: |

Preference is given to requests for funds
to seed a cause that can be self-supporting within a reasonable time.
Applicants may apply for multi-year grants. |
SIZE OF GRANTS:
Grant requests of $2500 or greater will be considered. |

GRANT CYCLE: |
 |
All grant requests must be
submitted on the GLSHCF application. |
 |
Grant requests may be submitted
from September 1 through October 31. |
 |
Grants awarded will be announced
in January. |
|
|
RESTRICTIONS:
Grants will be made to not-for-profit Organizations or
other entities set up to administer a program within the Greater Lee’s
Summit area. Grants will not be made to, or for the benefit of, any
individual. Grants will not be awarded for day-to-day operating
expenses or salaries of any organization with the exception of "seed"
dollars as mentioned in TYPES OF GRANTS above. |

EVALUATION:
Applications will be evaluated based on innovation, focus, probability
of achieving goals, budget, and the potential positive impact on the
community. |
